Missing those times when Harry Potter-based games were real hits? It’s time to stop that with this brand new open-world action RPG set in the world of your favorite books and movies about the brave magician in round glasses. Lots of new and oh-so-familiar places in the outskirts of Hogwarts are waiting for you!

The action of Hogwarts Legacy takes place in the 1800s Hogwarts – long before the birth of Harry Potter. The main character is a young magician who receives acceptance to the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry together with hundreds of other lucky kids. You will soon discover that your character isn’t an ordinary student but a living conduit of powerful Ancient Magic. Your hero’s abilities are the key to ancient secrets of the magical world and they may turn the whole world of magicians to dust if you don’t interfere. You can be good or evil and change the history of this world forever!

Hogwarts Legacy is definitely one of the best-looking games of the year. Not only because of magic and all those nostalgia-triggering locations, but also due to excellent use of Unreal Engine 4 technology. Although the game doesn’t try to be super-realistic, it feels super-immersive due to high-quality blurworks and masterfully adjusted lighting that makes both day and night scenes look awesome.

Given that the game allows you to choose your own path and become a heroic savior or an evil genius, the game is incredibly replayable. You can create a character with a custom appearance, traverse the open world in any direction you want, and make different choices to determine the story flow. There are several endings in the game so that you can replay it several times to see them all. Besides, it’s worth trying this game in VR as it’s fully compatible with all the headsets available for PC and consoles right now.

  • Awesome Unreal Engine 4 graphics;
  • A unique opportunity to visit Hogwarts of the 1800s;
  • The story flow and gameplay depend on decisions you make during the game;
  • J.K. Rowling will receive royalties despite the recent scandals;
