Rockstar Revealed Difference Between GTA Remastered and Originals

Rockstar has recently shared the first peek on remastered GTA: The Trilogy. The footage immediately started a discussion between GTA fans about the difference between remastered games and originals. Indeed, the new versions look quite different from the original. Thus, many fans worry about the destiny of the original games and erasing of GTA history.

The new trailer revealed that GTA significantly changed the graphics of good old classics: GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas. Whether developers improved it or failed to provide a better version, it is up to you. Yet, you can’t ignore the fact that new graphics look brighter, smoother, with higher resolution and perfect lighting. Even the weather in the background is more realistic. You may find that the character models look even prettier.
Jeremy Peel, a popular games’ journalist, said that he is excited to see the new art. However, he also mentioned that he is worried that the old art will simply disappear. He believes that Rockstar must leave the old art kept for history.

It is hard not to agree with the reporter, since there were numerous remasters of our favorite games during the last years, and not many of them were even similar to the originals. They might have better graphics but still failed to repeat the success of original games. Still, the games must keep up with the new consoles that require high-quality graphics.

The newly remastered Trilogy will be available on November 11, 2021. The original versions of these games made for PS2 are gone from the stores. Once Rockmaster announced the updates were coming, they removed old versions from storefronts.
