Nintendo to release three new SNES title classics
Nintendo’s hybrid console service already has more than 100 classic games, including free trials of Switch games. They have announced the addition of three new SNES titles – Jelly Boy, Claymates, and Bombuzal, to its library which will be available to its subscribers by July 28.
The claymates title is a platform created by the creators of the ClayFighter games, while Jelly Boy is a similar platform released in Europe. The main character is made of jelly, and he can take different shapes to go past various obstacles. Bombuzal, released on SNES, initially appears to be renamed for switch online. This is a puzzle game in which the players have to detonate bombs without killing themselves. Fans waiting for games like Earthbound will still have to be patient as Nintendo will add this game to its service later.
You don’t have to experience only the online multiplayer platform. By subscribing, you have access to the SNES and NES library classic and a few exclusive offers. The SNES app is a free download that is available to Switch Online subscribers from eShop. The app hosts games such as Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, and Legend of Zelda. The library also lets you access old games like Netflix for Nintendo.
In addition, Nintendo Switch Online Subscriber can have intermittent access to trial versions of games with titles such as Crash Team Racing Nitro and Pokken Tournament released in the past. Currently, a trial version for Among us is available up until July 27, and for those who really like the game, there will be a 30% discount on eShop through August 1.
We can’t wait to see what releases Nintendo has in store in the coming months.
