It Takes Two Hits New Record on Steam

It Takes Two made quite a splash both among experts and video gaming aficionados after it was rolled out in March of last year, but very few predicted the indie to remain hugely popular on a stable basis. However, the Hazelight Studios co-op game won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2021. Furthermore, the title even recently hit a record player count on Valve’s PC games distribution portal, Steam, with nearly 25,000 players detected in the game on Sunday, January 2.

Video gaming fans love It Takes Two for its one-of-a-kind gameplay and laser-like focus on the multiplayer element. Based on the game’s unique concept, the players need to establish cooperation aiming at tackling the challenging and oftentimes confusing puzzles. And now, right after causing a buzz on the video gaming scene and bolstered by the super special 50% Winter Sale discount, the title has set a new record player count on Steam. Yes, on Sunday, almost 25,000 players had a blast overcoming the game’s tricky obstacles.

It Takes Two also offers an exceptional free friend’s pass, meaning as a player, you can join a buddy who already has the game, without the need to buy the game yourself. The system brought nearly 12,000 players to the game on that same Sunday. Having existed for just one year, the game has managed to jump back towards the top of the Steam top sellers chart, hitting number 3 a few weeks ago.

The co-op title has been incredibly successful throughout the first year of its existence, with all the aforementioned awards and records reactivating fascination with its distinctive gameplay and overall charisma. With all that said, we predict that the popularity of It Takes Two will continue to skyrocket in 2022, as well. What are your thoughts? Have you played the game? Do you like it?
